Thanks all on your fantastic soundtrack solutions earlier this week! I will be gleefully ploughing my approach by means of them over the approaching workdays. However now is not the time for that! Weekends are for the enjoying, not the listening of the enjoying!

I resisted the siren name of My Summer time Automotive final weekend, however succumbed to the thrumming engines of… Automotive Mechanic Simulator 2021?? I’ve modified the oil and stripped the wheels off two vehicles already. I’ve no clue what any of those bits underneath the hood are. hope to get just a little greasier this weekend.

Apart from Life Stuff, this weekend I will be engaged on a small card “sport” prototype I’ve that’s form of a tabletop poem generator modelled after the Lament Configuration from Hellraiser. Once I get sick of my very own bullshit, I may also give the demo for Haste: Damaged Worlds a strive. It is form of Sonic Adventures meets Canabalt, proper?

I’ve a sport to evaluation, which I most likely should not identify, and so I’ll merely say that sure I might be enjoying (and shedding) but extra Dune Imperium. One other 100 hours or so and I’d really feel able to evaluation it.

I’ve spent most of this week buried within the Steam Subsequent Fest toybox, so I feel I am going to spend my days off with some consolation picks: a spot of Staff Fortress 2, maybe, to arrange myself for the incoming rush of formally supported mods. Probably adopted by Darktide, which does not have a lot happening on the mo, however has confirmed a surprisingly resilient member of my regulars. Again to demos on Monday, promise.

Any gaming time I’ve this weekend might be taken up by Monster Hunter Wilds. Sure, it does really feel fairly straightforward in comparison with Monster Hunters of the previous, however then once more I am unsure I ever wish to return to the times of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. (I have been messing round with the Lance once more, which was the primary weapon I ever used…and it is simply as unwieldy as these outdated days!) Problem apart, it is all in regards to the world vibes and the cool trying armour for me, and the visible splendour on show right here is grand stuff. Bless Capcom and RE Engine for placing in work to make these huge beastie designs as thrilling as ever.

Gonna play “what number of scratch-made pizzas can I eat in a single weekend earlier than it stops being practise and simply turns into gluttony”. Possibly three? My most up-to-date batch of dough turned out a lot better than the primary, so now I am making an attempt to good each sauce ratio and cooking temperatures. An exhausting, demoralising activity, however somebody has to do it.

I am going to probably be enjoying extra badminton this weekend than any explicit PC sport. I am nursing an RSI in the meanwhile from all of the Monster Hunter guides typing, so it will be attention-grabbing to see whether or not my hand can maintain onto the racket or if I will be unexpectedly taking my associate to A&E afterward with a nasty case of “lacking nostril”.
