The official X account of Frieren: Past Journey’s Finish has confirmed the manufacturing of the anime’s second season with a teaser visible and an announcement video on Sep 28, 2024.
The second season will as soon as once more be produced by Madhouse.
Creators Yamada and Abe expressed their gratitude to the followers and the anime manufacturing staff in a joint assertion, saying, “The second season of the TV anime has been confirmed! That is all because of the assist from everybody. We’re deeply grateful to the anime manufacturing staff for creating such an exquisite anime. As a viewer, we’re excited to see Frieren’s journey proceed. We sit up for your continued assist for ‘Frieren: Past Journey’s Finish.’”
Season 1 of the anime aired from September 2023 to March 2024, with Keiichiro Saito serving because the director, scripts supervised by Tomohiro Suzuki, and character designs dealt with by Reiko Nagasawa.
Frieren: Past Journey’s Finish began serializing in Shogakukan’s shonen manga journal Weekly Shonen Sunday since April 2020, with its chapters collected in 13 tankobon volumes as of April 2024.
By June 2024, the manga had over 22 million copies in circulation.
The sequence is licensed for English launch in North America by Viz Media and in Southeast Asia by Shogakukan Asia.
